If your child loves building puzzles, in this post you'll find out reasons why you should encourage them to solve them more often.

How Solving Puzzles Helps Your Child

On an Emotional Level

The emotional development of a child is incredibly important, as it will give them tools to deal with the world and people around them through the rest of their lives. Luckily, they can work on them as they build a puzzle. Patience, perseverance, a sense of accomplishment, and confidence are a few of the emotions they'll experience and develop when they build a puzzle.

On a Physical Level

Younger children have trouble with hand-eye coordination, as well as with their fine-motor skills. Puzzle building can help in both of these respects. This is because, to build a puzzle, they need to grab smaller pieces, and make them fit in a tight space. This will help them practice those physical skills and develop them further.

On a Mental Level

Finally, you can expect your child to become more mentally able as they build their puzzles. Whether you know about it or not, puzzle building requires a lot of mental effort: to recognize the shapes, colors and images, to plan a strategy, to problem-solve when needed, to focus on the task at hand, and more. Your child will inadvertently work on these as they have fun building a puzzle.
